June 27, 2016

dear everyone,
well. sorry to disappoint but this week has not even really been exciting. we just drive places and nobody is home. :( but what i have learned this week has been invaluable.
I have learned that I have weaknesses. (of course I knew this before, but i came to know them very well this week) I have definitely come to appreciate the atonement and rely on it a little bit more. so, while this week may not have been the best, what I learned and am "Fixed in my mind with a determined resolution" to use it this next week.
in other news, stamford and surrounding areas is still the posh little place it was last week. seriously. pride and prejudice was filmed here.

love,
xx Sister Wadsworth :)

nothing much is up here. besides that england left the eu. i always seem to forget the exciting bits in my big email. who is daniel? why does he keep coming to our house?
also, would you mind to send me the amount of money in my account? zions is such a small bank that i dont get to check up on things like that, but it does let me draw money. thanks! love you!

What's up on the other side of the world?  It's got to be more exciting than here.  Our biggest excitement is hmmm. We don't have a biggest excitement.
Jacques spent the entire week out at Pearson's so we didn't even see him all week.  Then Benson had basketball camp every evening, so he was gone til ten every night.  Natty and I together just aren't very exciting.  She had yw on Wednesday, but on Thursday she ditched me too.  Grandma had West and Addy and Amber, so Natty stayed over there for 2 days.  She and Amber had a blast.
Dad made it home Saturday. So did Jacques, at about 10 pm.  So we were all here for Sunday.  All 5 of us.
Dad invited Daniel to dinner again.  We had waffles.  He seemed to enjoy them, then he stayed to watch star wars with the boys.
There was a RS fireside tonight.  They asked Grandma to play the piano and me to lead, so we couldn't skip.  Sh, don't tell any we would do something like that.
That's all our exciting boringness.
How is England?  Who are you teaching?  Any miracle s this week?
Chelsey, are you all packed?  Don't try to bring any shampoo or heavy stuff in your bags.  There's no reason to pay a fine for overweight luggage filled with shampoo and stuff.
No pictures this week.  Unless you want one of us sleeping and reading.
Love you!
Mom

PS boys are both going to Camp Helaman tomorrow!

June 20, 2016-2

Dear mom,
I can't believe natty is going to girls camp! That happened really fast!
I still haven't had a picture of my old room, but I'm putting in a request.
The other sister Wadsworth is really nice. We got to figure out our family tree,
It splits at nephi John, tell dad. We could put the name on what to call it though.
Love you! Don't get too comfortable in front of the cooler. 😊

Dear daughters,
Wow, all four of you are out of the house.  How weird.
So, this week has been nice.  The wind has been blowing, so it hasn't been as hot.  We didn't even turn the cooler on all week.  But this next week is supposed to get really hot, so summer is really here.  Ugh!
Natty got off to girls camp on Tuesday, so it was just the boys and me here at home.  Jacques split wood for 2 days.  But all the wood is done until we go get more.  Benson spent three days mowing the lawn.  I can do it in an hour, but he did one lawn at a time.  He was pretty upset that he had to do it all, when Jacques didn't do any of it, but whenever Jacques asked him to help with wood, he absolutely refused.  Go figure.
Remi and Keldyn survived the week without Natty.  It was rough on Tuesday, but we were able to borrow "little Rachel" on Wednesday, so that helped.  And Thursday we had Taryn and Ashton to help keep everyone entertained.
Benson had basketball practice every night, and they played in a tournement in Alamo on Saturday.  They only won against the worst team, Beaver Dam.
Natty got home Friday afternoon.  She has been so worn out since then.  She had a lot of fun, and Marie said that she was lots of fun to have there.  I will try to talk her into writing a letter to you to tell you all about it.  I couldn't get a lot of information from her.  She's just like the rest of you.
That's really about all that has gone on this week.  We are enjoying the relaxed pace of summer, especially the sleeping in.  Remi and Keldyn are done for a while, so it will mostly just be us for the rest of the summer.
Oh!! Chelsey will be home on July 3!!!  Natty is excited to have her back.  She is lonesome down at her end of the house.  That will be dad's long week at home, so he will be able to drive us down.  I hate driving in the city so that works out superbly.
It is really quiet here right now.  Jacques is helping Pearson's with hay this week, so it is just Natty and Benson and me.  Did I already say that?  I was talking to Cami while typing, so I'm not sure.  The boys haven't been able to find summer jobs, so they are home alot  more this year.  Good for me when they help, but we don't get much time apart.
Ally starts working at DI tomorrow.  Good luck, Ally!!
I guess that's about it for here.  So, let's here from you girls now.
Rachel, how are you getting along?  Do you get to drive yet?
I remember now!!!! The other Sister Wadsworth's mom called me!  It was fun to chat with her.  It will be funny if you two get put together.  We are friends on facebook.   They called your dad, too, but I guess he started talking farming, so they called me.  Funny.
Chelsey, what will you be doing for the next 2 weeks?  I think you said you are done teaching, so do you get to do some tourist-y things?  Will you have enough $$ to travel home?
I love you all.  keep up the good (awesome) work!!

Stamford

so. what happened this week? let me tell you! it has definitely been a week of miracles. I'm so so sad to be leaving leicester tomorrow.
monday, still figuring out where we are going, how to get groceries from forever away to our flat (in our bags on our bikes)
tuesday, two (!!) unplanned member present lessons. the first one was a less active member who hadnt been to church in over 30 years because of health issues. the second, a different la called us about her friend and could we teach her tonight?... umm.....yes. we  can. so that was cool. new investigator!
wednesday, we had zone meeting. i got sick in the middle of it (pretty sure I was dehydrated, making sure I'm drinking enough water now) and pulled sister jones away to go hide in the toilets because I felt like I was going to pass out. so we went home and slept all afternoon. moral of the story- drink water!!  also we had a really weird da, with members. shortest dinner appointment ever. and we taught the man we met in  the park last week! unfortunately we counldnt get a member to come with us. so we ended taking a walk to the park, and he was super impressed by "the structure of the church" and how we think of everything. he accepted to be baptised! this area is so blessed!
thursday- sister jones had a trainers meeting, so she went with sister cebollero (who is going to training and whitewashing stourbridge, so no more trio!) and I went with sister spangler to stamford. it wasnt exciting. we just put the area book back together because it was scattered far and wide... then we stopped by a potential and got a return appt to go help her with her garden. but i will be gone by then :( ate dinner with the smiths, who are really cool. apperently, she baptised alex boye.. so that's my claim to fame. haha
friday- we handed out more flyers for the byu dancers coming in the town centre. did our weekly planning (its much nicer with people to work with). we also went to another referral from the la that gave us the first one! taught her husband (she wasnt home) and we are now teaching a family! fun stuff.
it rained SO hard and thundered and lightninged. it was like home! unfortunately though we had to walk in it...
saturday, was a day we magically planned to be in all of the right places at the right time. we met a lady in the library and taught her later that day- because we gave her a card, she left. we finished, and she felt prompted to come back and found the mormon.org card with our number on it sister jones had left at the computer she was using. so she texted us asking if we would like coffee sometime. (we said no) and the tea.. (also no) and then milkshakes ( definitely yes!) so another new investigator.
sunday, church, we were able to go the the byu dancers fireside with one of our new investigators and her husband, and they really enjoyed it!

so, obviously this week has been one of the best of my mission, I have loved every second of Leicester. and its going to be so hard to leave. (just think of the car!) Im sure the Lord has plans for me in Stamford and that sister Jones and her greenie are going to continue to meet the people who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. Honsetly, I just feel like we plan by the spirit and the miracle have taken care of themselves. and also get asked if justin beiber is mormon.... ummm i dont think so....?
sorry its really long this week- but I love you all and hope you week goes well! Heavenly Father has a plan for you, and pray that sister spangler and I dont die while driving in this crazy country! Love,
-Sister Wadsworth :)

June 6, 2016

If you convert it into Celsius, then it seems so much more disappointing. Only 38..  It's weird for it to be summer back home. Everyone here still has like a month left.. They just got out of half term though. I don't understand the English education system. Ally actually did not email me today. So disappointing...
I'm glad you and dad went on a date. I hope you had fun. You should go on more! I can't believe Kennan is married already. It seems like he just got home!
Love you. You can survive the heat!

Dear Chelsey and Rachel,
So it is summer here. We hit 101 this weekend.   But we also got the cooler in and working, so I guess I will survive.  I hate hot.
We've had a busy week.  Monday was memorial day.  We went to Panaca and dug up some trees at made and Tia's new house.  You can't pass up free trees.  We did a walkthrough at the cemetery, but we didn't have any flowers to put on graves.  Next year we will be better prepared.  Then we came home and planted our trees.  They are still alive, so maybe these will make it.
Tuesday we had remi and Keldyn.  It was a nice and peaceful day.  Jacques and Keldyn spent a lot of time together, and remi and Natty did.  Taryn and Ashton ended up not coming that day, but they were here all day on Wednesday.
That was a long day.  E enough said.
It is really weird having the boys home all day.  Usually they are working for Pearson's, but they are hoping to get jobs this summer.
Thursday, no extras.  We have been working on getting the garden boxes ready.  We replaced one broken box and got tomatoes planted Thurs and Friday.  Jacques put a lot of work into that project.  Now we need to get a couple more boxes from the farm.
I'm sure Ally told you all about her week in California.  She got home Fri evening.
Now she needs to get packef up to go with Cami on Monday.
I'm a little nervous about this move she is making, but she is determined and it's what she wants to do, so i will do what I can.
Saturday was HOT! And as I warned everyone, I was grumpy.  So mostly everyone did what they were asked to do and stayed out of my way.  Once we got the cooler in, i did better.  That evening dad and I had a date.  We took the car down to LaVoy Hafen as to get fixed. And then test drove a  little car Ken is selling.  We decided to buy it, we just need to figure out how to pay for it.  The van has to go back down tomorrow since LaVoy wanted to do it all in one day, so we will be without a car most of the day.  But it should be done so we can get to twin without problems.
Today was a pretty typical Sunday. Except that there was a new guy at church and dad invited him to dinner.  His name is Daniel and he doing an internship at Echo for NDOW.  He is staying at Echo in a trailer.  It was like feeding the missionaries, but just one.  He talked high school sports with the boys for a while after dinner, then left.  He is from Spring Creek up by Elko.
That's about it.  Kennen got married on Friday, but we didn't make it to Provo.  We will get to the open house in Panaca next week.
Chelsey, I read the letter from Pres whatshisname.  He had some sound advice.  But in the end it is up to you.  We will support you whatever you decide.  Not much help, I know, but . .
Rachel, who is your new companion? Pictures? What is your new area like? Lots of details!!
It is 11:11 make a wish!
I better go.  Or I will be grumpy again.
I love you. Pray, pray, pray!
Mom
PS Ally got her YW medallion today!!!!!!!

Dear everyone.
What a crazy week. Where do I start?
First off, I am with sister Sidney Jones of rigby Idaho. She is a
beast of the spiritual sort. I love it. 😊 she has been out for 6
months in Wales. I am her 4th companion and this is her second area.
And she's training soon, as soon as those greenies come...
What can I say about Leicester? I love it. (Its pronounced like. Mr.
Lester, in case any of you are adding those extra syllables In..) we
are biking so I definitely feel like I am earning the car I will be in
in Stamford. There is a big uni and a park and we have seen so many
miracles in our short time together already.
The craziest thing though, and neither of us knew this... Is that
there hasn't been ANY sisters In This flat since around Christmas.
Yup. So we are starting from complete scratch. We spent our week
biking around town(s) to stop by members and try to meet as many as
possible. Thank goodness it's a pretty flat area. 😊🚴🏻🚴🏻  and the
elders are super helpful, because we get lost pretty often.
So what am I learning. From this? I don't know yet. I think I have
learned that the Lord is trusting me to prepare sister Jones as she
trains.. And that I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, but
Heavenly Father does, and so I just go with it.
Haha and the coolest miracle! We were talking with this man in the
park and he was so incredibly prepared for the gospel! He had been to
a testimony meeting before and he was telling us about how he didn't
like that everyone keeps saying "it's true, I know it's true" but as
we kept talking, it was just so incredible. And he came to church....
Kind of... Haha he was 1 hour and 30 min late, but he was there! The
spirit was felt. And we are pretty sure he is coming back next week!
#hugeblessing #gratefulformiracles
So that is my incredibly crazy and wonderful life as a sister
missionary this week. Hope your week all goes well! ❤️❤️
I love you all and hope to hear from you next week.
