So, Crazy week. Again. You should all be used to it by now. and just know that missions are crazy. 24/7. haha. :)
yup. so where to start? maybe with Monday. Halloween!! We had to be inside by six so we ended up building a dresser because none of the ones in our flat have the drawers attached. we keep them under the bed instead. so yup. one is built and one more to go. we just need another three hours to spare to build that one too! it may not get done until New Years' Eve..... haha. also watched the face2face with studio C- its been too long! miss that show..
Tuesday. regular crazy day... umm. not much really happened. except the usual. though nobody was home.. hmm. we also helped the ward sell poppies in Morrisons (a grocery store) because everyone needs a poppy!
*to explain poppies: it this charity that started with WWI and it used to help veterans and fallen soldiers' graves and stuff like that and so every year around Nov 11 everyone buys a poppy and wears it and I think there's even a minute of silence to remember the soldiers. so yeah. good finding opportunity and also we're serving our fellow men.*
Wednesday: met our absolutely nuts less active- but seriously made our day. who else would tell us he's Joseph Smith and Adam? hahahaha. and that Adam got shot with a ray gun after the dinosaurs tipped a tree on top of him??? haha.
Thursday was the usual again. the week always goes by so fast and the days were forever ago!! district meeting in Blackwood. (their chapel is always freezing!!) and then just the usual stuff like finding and teaching.
Friday. what an interesting day. we got a new investigator that we had met a few days before on our way to visit other people. taught him a lesson and it was way good! we're excited about it! then we ran to our lunch appt. with a member and helped her sort through her hundreds of poems.....about smoking... (don't smoke, guys, it kills you).... fun stuff. :) we also had a good night that night by finding a really cute potential. her house is amazing. mint and silver and we should see her tomorrow night. (prayers please!!)
Saturday. how do I describe Saturday? well, I mentioned we were helping selling poppies, and so our zone sold them that morning 9-3. loooong day in Cardiff city centre. :) but, it was also a lot of fun. at one point we ended up right in front of the rugby stadium when wales was about to play Australia. SO MANY PEOPLE!! and so many people offered us tickets inside, too. sister Carson ended up holding one in her hand and she decided to sell if off for £15. the temptation was real..
afterwards we met up with Brandon, our investigator and watched the fireworks from Caerphilly castle with him. cold, but worth it. though it was so cold and pretty late that we didn't end up getting to teach him.. yup. so why were there fireworks? some guy (Guy Fawkes) decided to try and blow up parliament and now everyone celebrates with their own bonfires, and now just fireworks.)
And Sunday. church was good. the law of chastity lesson in gospel principles was as awkward as ever. we invited ourselves (the ward invited all, so we went) to watch the teaching in the saviours way thing with elder Holland and it was good. I actually got lots of advice on what we should be doing better to improve teaching skills. I loved the part when he talked about having charity, and if you are struggling with that start with your love of God and work from there because love grow!

love you all and hope your week goes well! don't get too cold!

Dear girls, (I would spell all your names out, but I'm too lazy)It is November, why does time fly by so fast? Before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving, then Christmas, New Year's, and then BAM! March. Rachel comes home.So here are the happenings of the week.Monday: I took the kids to school, then came home and slept. It was very nice. I'm glad I took the day off, because there is no way I could have tended kids while being in so much pain. I did manage to get some sewing done, but I mostly slept.Natty got stuck riding the bus. She hates the bus. She went with Irish after school, and then they hung out and helped with the Halloween carnival and went trick or treating. Jacques came home after football and did homework. Benson went to Landen's and did whatever they did.Tuesday: Back to the grind. Completely off the heavy duty pain pills. Just ibuprofen. I only had Ryder and Reiko, so it was a pretty easy day.Wednesday: Full house. But the kids entertain each other. We had pizza for dinner. Scouts and YW, then home and bed.Thursday: Another full house. But once again, they entertain each other. Reiko wasn't here. He didn't feel well yesterday, and stayed home today. Made 4 pigeon costumes for the play. Feeling LOTS better.Friday: Worked on a t-shirt quilt. All day. Took Natty down to the bus for her pride trip to St. George. Laser Mania or something like that. She had fun, but came home with a headache. So she skipped pep band. Dad and I went to the football game. First play-off game against Lake Mead. We creamed them 44-0. The second quarter took forever. Lots of injury time outs and regular time outs. I finally went and sat in Teri's truck with her and grandma. Lots warmer and more fun. Dad sat on the bleachers. Jacques had some really great tackles. One of the injured players was one he took down. After the game, we came home and got your dad ready for work. He was so tired, he said he stopped twice to take naps, and then had another one when he got to his trailer. He will miss the next games, so he really wanted to be here for this one.Saturday: Worked on quilts again. Finished both of them. We did some house cleaning, and Jacques puttered around outside most of the day. He found some bees, and has been trying to locate their hive. You should see him walking around in the bee suit he borrowed from Ellen Pearson. Quite the sight!Sunday: Benson was in charge of changing a tire before we left for church. But the old jack died, and the new one dad left for us to use isn't quite tall enough. It took over an hour, and we were nearly late for church.Church was good. There were a lot of people gone, so it looked pretty empty. Brother Ed Wright and Madge Cude got married yesterday. They were both at church, and she was all flustered and scatterbrained. We did some patriotic songs for Veteran's Day and Election Day in singing time. It was so cool when the sr. primary sang "The Star Spangled Banner" (there were only 9 kids) they sounded like a whole room full of kids. the angels must have been singing with them again. I love my calling! The time changed today. So we got to sleep in a little bit. Except I forgot to change the clocks around the house. Or remind the kids. Jacques got up to shower at his usual time, but now it was an hour earlier. He must have woke Natty up. so she got up and ready. All this while I am in bed enjoying my extra hour, because I knew that my cell phone would change by itself, and adjust the alarm for me.That is our world. So now tell us all about yours. How are you liking Wales? Are you near the sea? What is Sister Carson like? Do you get along? Is it getting cold? do you have enough clothes to keep you warm? I need to mail you Christmas package this week, so let me know of anything you need. I know, I know. Music. I'm working on it.I talked to Chelsey, Cami, and Ally, and Dad tonight. I felt like I was on the phone all evening. Everyone sounds happy, and working hard.I love you all. You all are such good examples to me and to all of us here at home. Where life is sometimes pretty easy.Love you. Be careful.Mom
