May 30, 2016

It's been so long I forgot. 1) Gatorade!! 2) badge in blossoms 3) found these ducks trying to cross the road. Dear everyone, Well dodge night was last night, and as expected, sister Woolsey is still going home. :) but very unexpectedly Cannock a is closing down! Actually there's not going to be any missionaries in Cannock for a few weeks.. Weird. Why is this happening to me again?! I am goin to be spending a few weeks in de Montfort with sister Jones and then I will be in a trio in Stamford. Wait what. Yup. So last minute its packing AND cleaning the flat. Fun. And calling all the members in Cannock to tell them good bye. Other than that wonderful surprise last night, our week has actually been really good. We achieved a lot this week, and by the end of it we were actually wondering where all of these numbers came from... It was from our hard work the week before and at the beginning, and then I think it finally hit sister Woolsey that she was going home, and we kind of just were astounded at all we had done. And now we are leaving it all behind... So sad. Sometimes we just work so hard and a certain investigator had received revelation that he really really shouldn't wait anymore to be baptised.. And also a few miracles concerning some people who hadn't been to church in over ten years. (Watch for some dunns in the olympics) And now this. But it's good. The spirit of the Lord has called me another way. Haha. This area has taught me so much and I have really loved it -although sometimes I did really hate that one hill we walked up everyday.. Yup. Another thing I have learned form this week (besides not telling people you are going to be staying before the dodge call comes) is about humility. I have been learning about the dangers of pride my whole mission, but I think I finally got a taste of what humility actually is while In Cannock. Love you all, and hope your week will be a lot less stressful than mine is going to be! Cheers ducks! Sister Wadsworth πŸ˜€πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ I'm so glad you survived. Now half of your kids have officially grown up. I just got ally's graduation announcement today in the mail. It was cute. It also sounds like you partied hard this week. Sorry I don't have a lot of time today. We have to be in Birmingham twice in two days. πŸ˜¬πŸ˜ πŸ˜‘πŸ˜© Sent from my iPad On 30 May 2016, at 06:12, kelly wadsworth wrote: Dear Rachel, Chelsey, but not Cami cuz she's home. So we have survived. I think. Ally is packing for the senior trip, and is leaving at 1 in the morning, but after that, we should have a calm(er) week. So, Monday, as usual, was nice and quiet. Benson taught the lesson in FHE. Tuesday Natty's class had a kickball game against the parents. I took my load of kids down and watched, but didn't play. I had Traci Poulsons girls and all my boys, so it was safer to keep an eye on them. That was the day of kindergarten graduation in Panaca. It was so neat that the seniors went in cap and gowns and escorted them to the auditorium. I will try to find a picture for you. Wednesday. Hmmm. babysat. took kids to Yw/ym. came home. I think there was ice cream somewhere in there. It was a little sad, because it was my last day babysitting. I gathered up all the baby stuff and leftover diapers and wipes, and sent it all home with the kids. Remi and Keldyn will be coming most of the summer. Full time for the first 2 weeks, then just a couple days a week after that. Taryn and Ashton will be coming on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thursday I was supposed to take the kids to school then head over to Cedar to pick up Cami. but. Her bus was late, and so she got on another bus that got her here 12 hours later than she planned. So I had a nice quiet day at home. Ally and Natty were home around noon, then we finally got so bored that we decided to go to Cedar and wait for Cami. It was a lot more fun than sitting here at home and waiting. We did some shopping and eating. Cami got there about 10;30 and we got home about midnight. Friday we spent a lazy morning, then headed down to Panaca for graduation. We hit Asia's get to gether for a few minutes before graduation, then went and found seats. It was packed. Someday we will have the forsight to have someone save us seats. Matt and Jule were there ahead of us and we sat by them. It was a good graduation. Asia was valedictorian and Jesse Mathews salutatorian. The both gave good talks, nice and short. Sherrin McHenry was the guest speaker. Hers was good too. After graduation, we went to Emma's get-together. Pearson's had tacos at the fire hall afterwards. Then we went home. Jesse had a party at his house that the kids went to for a little while. Jacques stayed the longest. I finally went to bed and didn't even hear him come home at 3. Saturday was temple day for Cami. We left here at 9ish. You've both been there, and her day was just like yours. At least on my side of it. I'm sure she wrote and told you about it. Afterwards, we visited with her friends for a little while, then went to DQ and headed home. It was agood day. Jesse went through the temple that same day, but at a later session, so we saw a lot of Mathews' there. Today was nice and quiet. It was 5th Sunday, so it was pretty relaxed in primary. Sharing time was a game, and then we did a game for singing time, too. The kids loved it. There was a fireside in Alamo this evening. Ally, Natty, and the boys all went. Cami and I and Dad were home all alone together. We are pretty boring. But you knew that. We went to Grandma's and Grandpa's for a little while then came home. Now dad is getting ready to leave for work. He is almost ready and it is only 10 o'clock. I guess that's about it. Tomorrow is Memorial Day, so we will go visit the cemetery and put flowers on graves. Kade and Tia have some trees that we are going to dig up and bring home. Other than that, I don't think I will have any extras. Just need to get Ally down for her trip. I forgot to tell you last week that Relief Society was reorganized. Delanie Cole is the new president, and Alyson Hammond one of her counselors. I think Kendra Poulsen is in there too. So, I guess I will go. I still need to find the pictures I want to send. I love you and pray for you every day. Multiple times a day. Be good and be careful. Have a good transfer day, Rachel! Loveyou, Mom

May 23, 2016

dear everyone, I officially hate the weather. haha. its just that when it looks like its going to rain, i dress for rain, not sun... and vice versa. sorry I havent sent any pictures in a while. we email in the library and getting my ipad hooked up to the computer is too much of a hassle and i dont feel like carrying that around all day.. especially if you saw the way we haul home our groceries.. haha. :) it has been a stressful week trying to meet goals we've set and then with a few other things thrown at us. though we have had some pretty good news about one family we are working with. it was such a relief to the kids and to us to hear that their mom is doing a lot better. I have also learned that the most humbling experience is to know you are going to die... (its happened to a few of our people these past few weeks, hence the craziness of everything, but things are now looking up for them). and that if you are in trouble, an immediate blessing will do wonders. I remember asking God at the beginning of the week Why? why are you doing this to this family who really has already been through so much? why does this person get to walk away and this other one not? and really having that question answered that Heavenly Father's ways are a lot better (and higher) than sister wadsworth's ways. and miracles happen. :) other things of importance, sister woolsey is at the point where everyone we talk to will ask her how much longer she has.. so she's not the one counting down, the ward is! (one week left, then transfers) that's about it! love you all! love, -Sister Wadsworth :) haha. every time we go to the brookes's we end up having our picture taken... because sister woolsey doesnt send pic either.. what is benson and jacques planning on doing for their projects? love you too! rachel On Mon, May 23, 2016 at 6:43 AM, kelly wadsworth wrote: Dear Rachel, Chelsey, and Cami, Oh, boy, what a week. It started out slow, but man, it gained some momentum. Monday was just a normal day. Regular set of kids, no unexpected or unusual events. Tuesday. Last minute calls for a couple of kids, but not too bad. Taryn and Ashton in the afternoon. Then run home and get ready for Awards night at school. Ally made the 3.5 honor roll, and got a $1000 scholarship for writing. Mrs. McHenry and Dylan sponsored it. It was so neat for her. She didn't make the top 10, but if effort counted, she would be in the top top of her class. She worked harder than just about anyone I know. Wednesday, the train wreck started. I ended up with 9 kids by the end of the day. Reiko, Ryder, Canon, (all in diapers and car seats), then add Traci Poulsens 2 girls (both in car seat/booster), plus Paislee and Keldyn. That was 5 carseats crammed in the van, and the door not working when we were loading and buckling them in. I was able to get it fixed when I got home, but it was sooooo frustrating. Then I got a call from Taryn and Ashton's mom. Yep. 9. they were only for an hour or so, and mostly after all the others were dropped off. Then there was YW/YM that night. I did get to enjoy some quiet while I waited for that to be over. Thursday we did that whole thing over again. By about 11, I told the kids they were staying in the house because I was tired of all the fighting and not being able to see the ones outside while I was inside with the others. But, I can look back now and laugh. Hopefully, I will be able to say no next time. It used to be soo easy. I guess I am getting old. Benson left for state Thursday morning. So it was just Ally, Jacques and Natty and me. (excuse my poor punctuation) We are really a very quiet, boring sort of people. But that is just what I needed. Benson ended up placing 2nd in the 4x100, but not placing in the long jump. Tyler did really well, placing in most of his events, even with an injury. He lunged across the finish line in the 110 hurdles, and crashed. Ended up in the ER. He didn't break his collar bone, (I think that was what it was), so was able to run the next day, and even placed in one of those races. The girls 4x800 placed 4th and broke the school record. They all did a good job. Brandon Zile was there too. His team took 2nd overall. Baseball ended up taking state. But softball lost their last 2 games, so didn't. Seminary graduation was tonight. It was good. Asia spoke. The cake was good. Then we had to wait for Benson to have his board of review for his Eagle project idea. It looks like his project will be approved, so he should be good to go. Jacques is just about ready for his, too. Ally is done with school. She gets to stay home and sleep in this week. Natty is going on her golden wildcat trip tomorrow. They are going roller skating in Veyo. I can't believe that the school year is over. It seems like it just started. Natty will be in Middle school. Wow. And Keldyn will start kindergarten. All my babies keep growing up. Some of them I don't mind, but others I wish could stay little and fun. Ally is waiting to use the computer. That is one drawback of graduating. She has to give back the netbook. I love you all. Can't wait for you to be home Cam. Thanks for all the pictures, Chelsey. I love when you send the ones with you in them. Rachel, you haven't sent pics in a while. It's a good thing Sister Woolsey's mom put a couple of you on facebook. Work hard. Love you Mom -- -Sister Wadsworth :)

May 16, 2016

dear everyone, well, this week has been another one. its been so weird to have the sun shining for most of the week! we had exchanges on tuesday (which absolutely poured but other than that, its been back to sunshine) and I spent the day with Sister Marsden- and the car! :) but I felt bad for the others because they got soaked. Cannock area still has its struggles, and we have been spending a lot of time with a less active family that are really going through a hard time right now. but its been great to see how the ward has really been trying to be there for them through it all. another funny part of the week was when we were visiting a different less active, and the home teachers showed up... it took me back to my first week in this area when we had done the exact same thing to some visiting teachers. :) and we are now fixed in our minds with a determined resolution to find two new investigators this week because our teaching pool is dwindling. this week I have learned the importance and love of the church family. we took one of our investigators to a baptism in a neighboring ward and also seeing how much this ward is striving to help this one family has just shown me that when we are baptised and become members of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, we become children of christ and then your family has just gotten so much bigger! everyone is a child of god and its an important thing to remember for everyone we meet, not just members. love you all! I'll definitely join you in singing praise to the man, mom. Love, -Sister Wadsworth :) To kelly wadsworth Message body I am so proud of you for feeding them! I'm sure they were super excited to come, and even if you left them scarred for life it was good for them. haha. :) I always remember the "laundry Nazi" whenever I'm forced to do mine, but I'm glad dad takes care of you. you should send me a picture of the music box and the window display. and abby mathews looks just like a little sister missionary. :) is she in yw's yet? its so sad everyone grows up isn't it? love you too! most especially just you, but everyone else too. :) On Mon, May 16, 2016 at 6:49 AM, kelly wadsworth wrote: Dear Rachel, Chelsey, and (ta-da) Cami! Here we are again. Sunday night. I've thought about writing all day, and for some reason, as I am heading to bed, I realize, "Oh, I need to write." I'm such a terrible mother. Or maybe just a terrible letter writer. So, anyway. Another exciting week. It finally warmed up, and now I want it to cool off. I really dislike being hot. But for those of you who like the hot, I will put up with it. Then I will move to Alaska. Monday was a normal day mostly. Keldyn was sick, but I had Traci Poulsen's 2 youngest, so it was still a busy kid day. Tuesday was Natty's science/art fair; then right after was the last band concert. The bands did really good. Mr. Lester combined the 6th grade and middle school for one of the songs. Natty is talking about switching to clarinet or sax next year. But she is planning to stay in band. Yeah!! Wednesday. WE FED THE MISSIONARIES!!!! Here at our house. Pizza. And cheesecake. It was fun, and awkward. But your dad was here to help carry the conversation. We survived, and so did they. I think. I ended up sick (throwing up) later that night. Jacques says "be safe". That might be all you ever get from him. Take it to heart! So anyway, I got to take Thursday off. I was pretty much worthless that whole day. But your dad was here, and he took good care of me. He took the kids to school. He washed the dishes. He picked up kids from school, and then got the boys later that night. And did laundry. Always laundry. Friday I was feeling better, so I took the boys to the bus. They went to Boulder City for regionals. Jacques didn't qualify for state. He was pretty bummed about it. Benson took 3rd in long jump and 2nd in the 4x100 relay, so he is heading to state. Tyler took 1st in 110 hurdles and placed in 330 hurdles. The boys team took 1st at regionals. One of these days I am going to have to go to a track meet. Dad left for work on Friday. Then Natty and Ally and I went to the spring so they could go swimming. Natty has been wanting to go for a while now. She was very happy. Then it was just us at home. So quiet. Saturday the YW had church cleaning duty. I took them in, and while I waited for them, I went to the relief society thingy that I had forgotten about. I didn't do any dry pack canning, but I visited and helped with a quilt. We did yard work after that. Ally says she can tell when I've been watching HGTV. We have a nice rustic flower/window display going on under the big front windows. I will try to remember to send a picture in the morning. The boys got home pretty early. Around 9ish. But we didn't get to bed very early. Funny story. I worked really hard on a project for singing time in primary. A cool box with paper scrolling the words to our song. It is so cool. Knobs to help wind the paper/ Then, I LEFT IT HOME! I could have missed sacrament meeting and run home to get it, but I decided that we will just use it next week. I was so sad. All that work, and it sat on the kitchen table during primary. Sigh. The kids learned the song just as well, or even better without the distraction. They were so awesome singing today. The Jr. primary outsang the Sr. And the boys were singing. That harley ever happens. I love my calling. Well. That's about it. We have a crazy week ahead. Only 2 more weeks of school, and they will be busy. Ally is done this Thursday. I can't believe she will be leaving. Sigh. I'm not ready for this. It's bad enoug that you three have left me. Now it's spreading. Deeper sigh. So, like Jacques said. Be careful. Work hard. Remember that your mommy loves you. Join me in singing "Praise to the Man" all week. That is our song this month. I love you. All of you. Mom

May 2, 2016

Well this week has been another one, and honestly I don't remember most of it. I know we worked a lot, it rained everyday, and from some definitely seen and most definitely felt forces, I have gotten sick this week. Not to worry- I'm still alive😊 but if you ever get caught in the rain (and hail) when you are wearing the wrong shoes I guess there are consequences. *note to self- wear wellies every day* The biggest highlight of the week was when we showed up at sister brookes's for dinner (haha apparently mom, you've met her via Facebook) and we were absolutely soaked down to our soggy feet, and we waited to eat takeaway with her girls because she was doing some last minute work. Lots of fun. πŸŒ§πŸŒ§πŸŒ§πŸŒ§πŸŒ§πŸ’¦πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Friday we had interviews with president and that was fun. I was just starting to get sick and some interviews went waaay too long so we were an hour later than we planned getting home. But I got a certain package that I must admit I didn't wait until tomorrow to open... Thanks for the presents. πŸ˜„ I loved them. ❤️❤️ I think those were the major highlights of our week. I've been trying to finish the New Testament now for about a month and I'm almost there but I'm at the point where I just want to study other things and subjects than the end of the world.. So that still remains one of my goals for this week. I'm super excited for Mother's Day and to see everyone again. Looking forward to that. 😊 love you all!! Sister Wadsworth 1) happy birthday to me Dear mom, sister Brookes came and told us about the group chat. Haha. Does that time work for everyone? I always sit next to sister Woolsey for lunch.. I've never been to the Las Vegas temple, but it sounds like fun.. I'm so jealous of them getting to hear elder Holland. He came to the mission right before I came so that's all I got to hear for most of my time here... But I shook hands with elder Ballard, and elder oaks is coming the week sister Woolsey goes home.. Tell natty it just feels like being a sister missionary. 😊 I'm sorry about the door. It's typical Wadsworth luck. But on the 7th we are having a relief society afternoon tea (not breaking the word of wisdom, promise. It's another word for dinner) and watching the women's session of general conference. Love you!! Rachel Sent from my iPad On 2 May 2016, at 06:57, kelly wadsworth wrote: Dear Rachel and Chelsey, How are you? Anything exciting, or interesting, or even boring happening? Who did you sit by at lunch? I guess these questions work even after you leave school. So let's hear it . .. We are all fine here at home. Nothing new. Same ol', same ol'. We had a birthday party for you dad tonight. I will send a couple of pictures. He got socks, shirts, and a new razor. And a lovely card from Rachel. And carrot cake (yuck). Our biggest news is that it rained every day last week. Monday was supposed to be the first day of t'ball practice, and it snowed. Poor Keldyn was not happy. He asked all day if it was time for t ball, and then when we finally got to town, Remi told him it was cancelled. Typical weather for Lincoln county. I can't really think of anything different that happened this week. Ohhhh. Ally and Natty and Dad and the YW went to Las Vegas to do baptisms at the temple. They needed another priesthood holder, that is why dad went. Then they went to the mall, and then got to go to a fireside and hear Elder Holland. They had fun, but Natty says next time, she is taking clothes to change into. I feel her pain. I don't like wearing a dress all day either. I'm sure Ally wrote and told you all about it. It was for one of her projects. she took 45 names. They got home at 12:30 am. I got to spend the day alone with Benson. Jacques was at a campout/work project. The boys had a track meet in Ely on Friday. It snowed on them. The sun was shining when they left that morning, so I guess they didn't believe me when I told them to wear something warm. Dad was able to go and watch them. I have been working on car doors. Now the other door isn't working very good. Sometimes it will open, and when we are at school, or where people can see us, it won't open at all. Very interesting getting kids and car seats in and out. Right now, the panels are off both doors, I am determined (fixed with a determined resolution) to get them BOTH working. We will see who wins this battle. Our stake is doing a 40 day fast this next month. Each day of the 40 days, a different family will be fasting for missionary work. Our day is May 7 if you want to join us. I'm pretty sure that not everyone here will be willing to do it, and it will be hard to go a full 24 hours. We will try, tho. Family news. Camden and Jeanette are expecting. Jonathan and Mellica both graduated from SUU and are moving to Vegas. Zach is back from Afganistan (or where ever he was). Jesse Wadsworth (Todd's) was in an accident. She was hit by a car while riding her bike. She got pretty banged up, but is ok. I guess that's about all. I sure love you, and pray for you to be safe and do well in your work. Both of you make sure you write something good just in case I have to talk about you on Mother's Day. I want to be prepared, just in case. Ones doles. Do good. Love you, Mom hpaich on
